Professional hockey journeyman, Logan Shaw, who has played 7 different AHL affiliates and 5 NHL teams since 2013-14, was just recently named AHL Player of the Week for his performance for the Toronto Marlies.

Shaw, a former 3rd round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for the Florida Panthers, signed a three year AHL deal that runs through the 2024-25 season. In 5 years in the NHL, Shaw has contributed 16 goals and 39 points in 232 games but at the AHL level he has accumulated 89 goals and 175 points through 322 games.

The Marlies played 3 games this week, 2 against Laval and one against Belleville, where Shaw scored 5 goals and added 4 assists, including a hat-trick against Laval on the 4th of November on just 3 shots.

As Kyle Cushman added to the end of his tweet, it wouldn't be surprising if the AHL-veteran of 7 years were to be named captain of the Marlies in short order. He has had experience with the letter as he captained the Belleville Senators to their first Calder Cup playoff appearance in 2021-22.
