Trouba and Tkachuk give us a fight of the year candidate
With the game tied at one and five minutes to go in the second period, Jacob Trouba and Brady Tkachuk gave us a good ole' fashioned donnybrook. Squaring off at center ice, Tkachuk and Trouba gave us a lengthy tilt trading lefts and rights until Trouba scored the takedown.
Tkachuk already had an assist in the game and with the fight he was just a goal away from the Gordie Howe hat trick, which he accomplished with less than a minute to go in the third when he scored to tie the game. He followed that up by scoring the OT winner with less than 20 seconds to play in the extra frame.
