WATCH: Sean Avery chases beer league opponent down and injures him
A few months ago, superpest Sean Avery attempted to revive his pro hockey career by signing in the ECHL. Unfortunately for him, it didn't last long as he was released shortly after signing his contract.
He's been awful quiet on social media since chirping the likes of Matthew Barnaby and Georges Laraque, seemingly continuing to go about his life. However, last night he posted a video to his Instagram stories of him in a beer league game chasing down an opponent after an excessive celebration.
It's no surprise that Avery took out his opponent's knee, as he was the king of cheap shots and stupidity when he played professionally. To do it in a beer league game though is a bit excessive and the term "a bit" is used sarcastically here.
Avery is certainly a few crayons short of a full box, but even he has to know that this is crossing the line. Beer league hockey, while it can be competitive at times, is supposed to be fun. Having your knee taken out certainly doesn't fall under the fun category.
