Emily has shared a multitude of messages of support that she has received online, but as we all know, for every supporter there is a detractor and there are also internet trolls aplenty - and after finally deciding to move on after two years of grieving the loss of her husband, she is now receiving hate messages targeting her and her new boyfriend. In this case, it wasn't even someone who was trying to hide his real identity. A local Edmonton business owner decided to shun her on social media openly. Here's how she responded.
"Normally I am all about supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs but do not support this one," Emily wrote both in a tweet and Instagram story along with a screenshot of the message she was sent from an account named pristinewavecards.
I don't know what this business owner is expecting of a young woman who is simply trying to get on with her life after suffering the tragic loss of the one she loved most. Just because she is choosing to move on and get back to living a regular life following a tragedy, it shouldn't open her up to personal attacks. What ever happened to live and let live?
