William Nylander absent from banner at Scotiabank Arena and some Leafs fans are panicking

Here we are, approximately two weeks away from preseason hockey and I, for one, could not be more excited for the return of the greatest sport in the world and yet another shot at redemption for the Leafs.

With the return of hockey comes the return of Leafs imagery at Scotiabank Arena and one banner in specific already has people talking. A banner in the atrium at the Union Station entrance of SBA depicts six Leafs, including 3 of the "Core 4", plus Michael Bunting, Morgan Rielly and T.J. Brodie. No William Nylander.

Now, to be fair, there could be a number of reasons for this that don't involve a Nylander trade, so let's hold our horses here. They could be leftover banners from the Playoffs in May, it could be one of several banners - and some of which might show Nylander or it could simply be that MLSE just wanted to show the Leafs' top line, #1 D pairing and captain.

Since we are such a volatile fanbase, I'm sure there will be mass panic until a) new banners go up for the 2022-23 season or b) Nylander takes his first shift of the season.
