We have seen William Nylander open up a whole lot more with the media over the past two seasons, never afraid to crack a few jokes and show off his sense of humour, but it was another young Swede who had a pretty fun punchline on Wednesday, when asked about the play of his D partner.
The media caught up with Rasmus Sandin at the Leafs' morning skate today ahead of their matchup tonight with the Bruins and the mood seems relatively light ahead of such an important game, which could be a good thing, since it might mean that the players are feeling good - feeling loose.
One of the items that the media wanted to touch on was the constant improvement of Sandin's D partner, Timothy Liljegren. Sandin was asked why he feels as though Liljegren has improved so much this season. His answer was cheeky, fun and just the right amount of cocky.
Hat's off to you, Sandman.. that was a pretty well-timed, witty response. The funny thing about it is that while Sandin himself has had a great season and shown tremendous improvement as well, Liljegren is playing with a variety of different D partners and still experiencing similar results.
I love this team, man. They're so fun.
