Zach Aston-Reese lays out 2022 1st overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky
Still waiting to sign a contract, Zach Aston-Reese was in the Leafs' lineup last night against the Habs. Not only did he score in the contest, but he continued to throw his weight around.
Midway through the third on the backcheck, Aston-Reese caught first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky with a thunderous hit. ZAR was issued a boarding penalty on the play because Slafkovsky turned his back to Aston-Reese as he was about to make the hit. That led to ZAR nailing Slafkovsky right in the numbers.
