The video, which can be found below, features Matthews going through some of the iconic jerseys of the past, including the vintage Washington Capitals jersey that Alex Ovechkin scored his incredible goal while twisting around on the ice, a special Danny Briere jersey from his time in Buffalo and the jersey from Patrick Kane's 1,000th career NHL game in Chicago.
His reaction, though, to seeing his own Fanatics jersey for the first time, was special.
"It never gets old looking at this," Matthews said as he opened the box and pulled out the new blue and white home jersey from the special Fanatics box placed in front of him by the seamstress who created it.
Matthews is set to begin the 1st year of his new 4-year deal this summer, which carries a $13.25M cap hit, only a modest increase from his previous $11.64M cap hit.
