The Toronto Maple Leafs currently hold first place in the Scotia North division as they prepare to play the Edmonton Oilers tonight. The Leafs have done pretty good considering they've already lost Joe Thornton and Nick Robertson long term to injury while forward Auston Matthews is playing through injury. To top it off the Leafs have also lost backup goalie Jack Campbell to injury as well. The Leafs are already running through their depth and might need more for a serious push later on. That's why James Mirtle of The Athletic believes they'll be targeting a veteran forward from the Discover Division. According to Mirtle the Leafs will likely go after Bobby Ryan at some point this season because of his low cap hit on a one year deal. Ryan hasn't been playing like a 33 year old scrub either, he's currently got five points in seven games for the Wings. Do you think the right winger would be a good fit for the Leafs?
