"It's been a couple of days of small controversy since the Toronto Maple Leafs started training camp. First there was a bit of uproar regarding head coach Sheldon Keefe's lineup decisions, then forward Auston Matthews confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19 a couple of months ago. When Matthews was pressed about it again yesterday, he was clear he wasn't happy with his name getting out there and being the only player name leaked so far. On Wednesday, Matthews and Leafs' nation received some positive news. After registering just eight penalty minutes this past season, the 22 year old has been nominated for the Lady Byng award! It's an opportunity for Matthews to add to his NHL hardware after wining the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year in 2017. He'll be up against Ryan O'Reilly of the St. Louis Blues and Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche.
