"Earlier today the Toronto Maple Leafs and head coach Mike Babcock announced that Jake Gardiner will miss tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Gardiner has missed the last two practices and it seems the injury could be worse than originally expected.
The Leafs announced tonight that Gardiner will miss some time and is labelled as week to week.
Gardiner missed two games before the All-Star break with back spasms.
