Babcock Confirms Gardiner Won't Play Tonight.

"Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner won't play tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. Head coach Mike Babcock made it official today after Gardiner has missed the last couple of practices. Gardiner had previously missed a couple of games before the All-Star Break due to back spasms and it seems they issue is flaring up again. Yesterday Babcock said "I don't know for sure ... obviously it's lingering. If you've watched Jake's game, he hasn't been as active as he normally is, skating like he normally can"More to come.
