BREAKING Leafs Give Simmonds Extension.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs needed to add grit last season and they did. One of those additions was Toronto native Wayne Simmonds. It sounds like the Leafs were happy with what Simmonds brought during the season as he'll be sticking around. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports that the Leafs are close to finalizing an extension with Simmonds. Details on the contract should follow shortly.
