With the playoffs just around the corner, the injuries are starting to pile up for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Luckily for the Leafs, general manager Kyle Dubas did make one depth move before the trade deadline because they just lost another forward. Frederik Gauthier will not travel with the team for their road trip to Nashville and Buffalo and will be re-evaluated on Thursday. It seems the forward is dealing with a foot injury. This will open the door for Nic Petan to get some regular minutes and show what he can do.
Leafs forward Frederik Gauthier (foot) will not travel with the team for the next two games in Nashville and Buffalo and will be re-evaluated on Thursday. #LeafsForever — Leafs PR (@LeafsPR) March 18, 2019
