The Toronto Maple Leafs announced this afternoon that the club has signed Bobby McMann to a two-year contract extension. The 27-year-old undrafted free agent signing will nearly double his salary as his new contract will carry a cap hit of $1.35M per season.

McMann is in his first full season with the Leafs and has grown into an effective bottom-six forward. Through 40 games with the team this season, McMann has scored 10 times, including registering his first career hat-trick, just a few short weeks ago, and added 8 assists for 18 points.

His journey to the NHL has been a long one beginning with four seasons at Colgate University, before spending two seasons bouncing between the AHL and ECHL until he made his NHL debut during the 2022-2023 season with the Leafs.

McMann was slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, but his new deal will keep him with the club until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
