The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking they're locked in to host an outdoor game this season. According to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News, the Leafs and Buffalo Sabres are looking like the two teams that will play in the NHL Heritage Classic game. The target date is March 13 and it would be played in Hamilton, Ontario. It was originally supposed to be a home game for the Sabres at KeyBank Center but is now missing from the schedule. The game would be held at Tim Hortons Field which the NHL believes they can expand to a 40k capacity for the special event. While the Sabres would technically be the home team because of scheduling, it's no doubt it would be a Leafs' home game. More details to come.
