"One of the biggest topics of conversation this offseason has been if the Toronto Maple Leafs will name a captain or not. General manager Kyle Dubas hinted the team will take as much time as possible to find the right candidate, so don't expect a captain to start the season. With that, head coach Mike Babcock revealed to the media on Thursday which players will carry a letter this season. Babcock stated that Patrick Marleau, John Tavares and Morgan Rielly will all be alternate captains this season. That of course means that Auston Matthews won't have a letter on his jersey. With Tyler Bozak and Leo Komarov gone, there was two letters up for grabs and with Patrick Marleau sporting the "A" at times last season he was kind of an obvious choice. What do you think of Babcock's choice?
