"The Toronto Maple Leafs won their game last night against the Buffalo Sabres, but almost lost one of their defenseman. Travis Dermott was the victim of an extremely dirty hit from behind by Sabres' forward Kyle Okposo. What made the hit worse was that Okposo himself has been the victim of many dirty hits over the years and has dealt with concussion issues. The fact it was reckless, many believed that Okposo would have a hearing regarding the hit. However according to James Mirtle of The Atheltic, there will be no supplementary discipline for Okposo. Check out the hit below, should Okposo have been suspended?
The Okposo hit on Dermott is definitely beyond the NHL's threshold of 0.6 seconds for a late hit. pic.twitter.com/nIzO2MTI97 — Scott Wheeler (@scottcwheeler) December 18, 2019
