"Some breaking news out of Ottawa on Friday regarding a former Leafs defenseman. The Senators announced that Nikita Zaitsev has been granted a leave of absence and is headed back to Russia. No other details were revealed about the situation aside from the fact it's for personal reasons. He'll miss Friday's game and the team is unsure when he'll be back. Our thoughts our with the former Leaf and hope it's nothing devastating.
