The Toronto Maple Leafs aren't exactly having the start to the season they were hoping for. Toronto currently sits in third place of the Atlantic Division with a 5-4-2 record, just one point ahead of the Florida Panthers and two points ahead of the Montreal Canadiens who have both played two less games than the Leafs. Last year's division winner, Tampa Bay, is three points behind the Leafs and have played three less games. After back to back losses Auston Matthews called out the team and now Sportsnet's Chris Johnston says the vibe isn't feeling too good in the locker room right now. While appearing on Sportsnet 590, Johnston said that things aren't very fun around the team right now and things are tense. He added that if things don't change in the next month, changes will be made whether it's roster changes or a coaching change. It would be the first time Babcock is fired during his NHL coaching career if it were to happen.
