With less than a month having passed since the Edmonton Oilers experienced heartbreak in South Florida, losing in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals to the Florida Panthers, reality has set in for the Oilers. They have a lot of work ahead of them in 2024-25 if they want to reach the Finals again next season.
During last night's awards ceremony, Nikki Glaser showed that it's never "too soon" in comedy, lighting up McDavid and the Oilers, much to the chagrin of Evander Kane, who was present at the event.
Obviously, Kane wasn't pleased, staring deadpan at Glaser during the bit, but as a comedian, nothing is really out of bounds for Glaser, who was also a part of the recent Tom Brady Roast on Netflix.
Kane has already expressed his desire to remain in Edmonton publicly, so the hope for he and the Oilers is that they'll have another crack at Lord Stanley in 2024-25.
