David Kampf shows off tremendous physique in new Instagram post

A fitness fanatic and cross-fit nut, Kampf has put a strong emphasis on being in excellent shape each and every season. His work ethic is unrivaled, which is a part of the reason why the Maple Leafs love the player so much.

Kampf is never going to be the player who puts up 20+ goals per season, but he will outwork the other team's hardest workers and showcase his relentless motor, emptying the tank on each and every shift. There is simply no quit in the Czech forward.

During a vacation in Austria, Kampf's wife, Eliska, snapped a quick photo of the veteran pivot laying in a cold running creek river, which he posted on Instagram. Abs seemingly carved out of granite, Kampf has shared the evidence of another offseason of grinding to remain in the best shape possible ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Kampf has 3 seasons left on a 4-year deal, which he signed last summer, carrying a $2.4M cap hit. There have been no shortage of rumours suggesting that he could he moved at some point this summer if the Leafs are looking to create some excess cap space, but at this point, that's all that they are -- rumours.

Kampf tallied 8 goals and added 11 assists for a total of 19 points last season for the Maple Leafs, being used primarily in a 4th line energy role.
