Disgruntled Maple Leafs fan absolutely buries Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner

StatMuse Hockey took to Twitter/X on Tuesday to reveal that Matthews and Marner are the only two NHL players from 2020 onward who have each been credited with an astonishing 350+ takeaways.

While the stat itself is quite astounding when you stop and think about it, one Leafs fan, Corey Landsberg, is not impressed by the statistic. Instead, he shared the post with a pretty disdainful caption.

Landsberg said what I'm sure most of us are feeling right now after yet another 1st round exit in the Matthews/Marner era. Not only have two of the brightest stars in hockey failed to get it done in the postseason, but we've had to sit here and endure the Leafs running it back over and over again, accomplishing absolutely nothing in the process.

What's worse is that not only do the Leafs appear to be running it back this year, they may actually be preparing a significant offer for Mitch Marner, which would lock Marner, Matthews and Nylander in for several more seasons, according to The Hockey News.

There aren't many whom I've spoken to who are thrilled to see the Leafs running it back again, so it shouldn't be too surprising to see the fans lashing out and venting their frustrations outwardly.
