Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas got his first offseason underway with four signings on Thursday. Those moves probably won't be defined as legacy moves for Dubas during his tenure as GM of the Leafs, but what he does this summer might be. James Mirtle of The Athletic believes that Dubas wants to put his own brand on the Leafs and expects major changes to start happening this offseason. What could those changes be?Mirtle expects them to be blockbuster ones. The reporter believes the Leafs will make a major run at John Tavares in free agency and try and land defenseman Dougie Hamilton through trade. He also wouldn't be surprised if Dubas tries to move defenseman Nikita Zaitsev because of his limitations with the puck. The Russian defenseman has a partial no trade clause set to kick in next year. Mirtle doesn't believe Dubas is willing to sacrifice Mitch Marner or William Nylander to strengthen up his blueline. Do you believe Dubas really wants to make a huge splash during his first offseason?
