The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas made a splash on Sunday as they landed a big addition to their lineup. Dubas acquired Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno through trade. While the trade cost the Leafs their first round pick, the Leafs are definitely all in and got themselves a solid veteran presence for the playoffs. NHL insider Pierre LeBrun had reported about two weeks ago that Toronto was actually on Foligno's no trade list so there was a change of heart recently. A couple of hours after the trade, Foligno spoke to reporters. "It was an emotional couple days. I have the utmost respect for Jarmo and how he brought this to my attention and just talking about if there was something that made sense for the team, that he would try to keep me in the loop and that meant a lot." "My heart was telling me this was the right move. It felt right. I'm looking forward to the opportunity." Foligno has already received a bunch of text messages from his new teammates. "It lines up mentally with where I'm at and what I feel is necessary to win hockey games. Looking forward to joining a team that feels that way." Let's Gooooo!!!!
