A former promising young Maple Leafs prospect has found a new home, inking a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

The Philadelphia Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have officially announced the signing of Keith Petruzzelli, who committed to the Phantoms on a 1-year AHL contract on Thursday.

Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, Petruzzelli wound up spending 4 years with Quinnipiac University between 2017-18 and 2020-21 before making the professional jump with the Leafs' ECHL affiliate in the Newfoundland Growlers. He made his way to the Marlies in 2021-22 and spent the next 3 seasons in the AHL, where he cultivated a 22-17-4 record in 47 games played.

The 6'5 goaltender from Wilbraham, Massachusetts, will now look to solidify a role within a Flyers organization that could potentially use his services. He will be battling against the likes of Cal Petersen and Alexei Kolosov, among a few other candidates in the minor leagues.
