"The Toronto Maple Leafs have had it a bit tough lately not really looking in sync. One player that has struggled is starting goalie Frederik Andersen who missed some brief time with injury. Andersen had a good game back upon his return on March 3rd against Edmonton, however since then he's only had two games where he gave up less than 4 goals. Is he still injured?Sounds like it. While speaking to the media on Thursday Andersen revealed he's not healthy saying "I'm not really where I want to be health-wise". Of course like any NHL player will point out at this time of the year nobody is really at 100%. On the season Andersen has a pretty unimpressive .900 save percentage and a 2.86 goals against average to go along with his 13-7-2 record. He was heavily attached to trade rumours before the season began and Nick Kypreos even stated that there was no way he would open the season as the Leafs' starter.
Frederik Andersen says "I'm not really where I want to be" health-wise, but notes that every player deals with aches and pains through the season. — luke fox (@lukefoxjukebox) March 18, 2021
