"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas are looking to make a big splash this offseason. Lots of changes are coming and we saw it pop off with the Kasperi Kapanen trade. A new starting goalie and Frederik Andersen trade are also expected to be on the list along with a push to try and sign defenseman Alex Pietrangelo. The St. Louis Blues are in lots of cap trouble so they might not even be able to keep their captain around. They started with a salary dump trade to Montreal when they shipped off goalie Jake Allen and according to James Mirtle of The Athletic, they've made an offer to Pietrangelo. It's big money and term, but it doesn't seem enough just yet. Mirtle reports that the Blues made an eight year offer to Pietrangelo with an AAV $8.25million. The Leafs' insider added that Pietrangelo would prefer to stay with the Blues however something seems off with the whole situation. Would you be willing to pay more than that to bring Pietrangelo to Toronto?
