The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped their opening game of their west coast road trip as they lost to the San Jose Sharks 5-2. What stood out most was that the Leafs were headed into the third period with the game tied 2-2 but gave up three third period goals. Backup goalie Jack Campbell who's had some success playing in San Jose while with the Los Angeles Kings got the start. Unfortunately things didn't go his way and shouldered all the blame for last night's loss. "I'm just disappointed I think (Martin) Jones outplayed me bottom line. So I'm not happy about that and I feel responsible for this one.No excuses I just gotta find the puck and make the save.Giving up four is unacceptable." Forward Mitch Marner felt differently however as he felt Campbell kept the team in the game. "Without Jack, who knows what that score gets up to." What did you think of Campbell's performance last night?
