The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Carolina Hurricanes tonight at ScotiaBank Arena. While some might expect the Leafs to take the game lightly after clinching a playoff spot yesterday, the Leafs are still fighting for the small chance they can land home ice advantage against the Boston Bruins. It'll be a hard fought game considering the Hurricanes are still fighting for a playoff spot. On the second game of a back to back, head coach Mike Babcock announced he's got a couple of game time decisions. One of those is Jake Gardiner, will he play tonight?«Obviously, we're hopeful. Every day you're hopeful,» said Babcock. «That's all you can do. The medical team is working as hard as they can, he is working as hard as they can. He wants to be ready to go. We want him to be ready to go. He's a good player.» It would be a huge step forward if Gardiner can play tonight as he'll need to get some game action before a very intense playoff series against the Bruins.
