Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner will make his much anticipated return to the lineup tonight. It's been a long battle back from back spasms for Gardiner who even questioned whether he could benefit from surgery. It's important for Gardiner to get back in the lineup because if he doesn't get to an agreement with the Leafs before the end of June, the defenseman will hit free agency and he needs to prove to the hockey world he's at least somewhat healthy. According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, Gardiner is expected to be able to land a long term deal for about $6.5million a season. Do you see the Leafs paying Gardiner that kind of money, especially when you consider his recent back issues?
