"It's been quite an amazing last couple of days for the Toronto Maple Leafs rookie defensemen, Travis Dermott and Justin Holl. Both recorded their first career NHL goals this week and Holl scored another goal on Thursday night putting himself in the record books in the process. Holl scored the opening goal on Thursday night which was his second in a row and made history. Holl became the first defenseman in Leafs history to score in each of his first two games and sixth in NHL history. The 26 year old joins Sprague Cleghorn (1918-19), Rick Lanz (1980-81), Marcus Ragnarsson (1995-96) along with Taylor Fedun and Alex Grant who both did it during the 2013-14 season. What made the moment special for the newly crowned "Holly Orr" was that it was also the fathers trip, so his dad got to see both goals live. After the game head coach Mike Babcock had a classic Babcock response. «Those goals, that's great. Good for him,» said Babcock in a dismissive tone according to Sportsnet. «That's not what I'm looking at. Can you break the puck out? Does he know where to stand in the D zone? Can he play the rush? Big guy, skates good, very intelligent. Looks like a good hockey player to me.»Congrats to Holl on the amazing accomplishment!
