"The sting from 2013 still hurts for some Toronto Maple Leafs' fans while others have completely moved on. No matter which side you sit on, every station will run the clips over and over considering the Leafs are playing the Bruins in the playoffs for the first time since that series. Now even if the networks play those clips with dramatic music in the background, is it even relevant to play them at all?It happened in 2013 and as we all know, there's been a huge roster overhaul since then, as a matter of fact, only five players (JVR, Kadri, Komarov, Bozak and Gardiner) who played in that series are still on the Leafs roster today.Kadri who was one of them, had a very interesting response when asked about it.The Leafs forward wasn't even sure himself how many people were actually still around from the 2013 team and stated that Mitch Marner was probably still in high school then. He's right, Marner was only 16 years old at the time.
Nazem Kadri wasn't sure how many players were left from 2013 when the Leafs lost to the Bruins: «Mitchy might've still been in middle school.» — Jonas Siegel (@jonassiegel) April 9, 2018
