When the Kyle Beach story came out a couple of short years ago, not only did the Blackhawks clean house, but Quenneville, who was with the Panthers at the time, stepped down from his position as head coach and has since been deemed ineligible to return.
A lot was made of the scenario, with the league demanding to know who was involved, who knew of the incident involving Beach back in 2010 and after the investigation had concluded, major changes were made.
This week, Quenneville's daughter, Anna, has made it a point to clear the air about the misperceptions floating around about her dad. She is also lobbying for him to be reinstated by the NHL.
The bombshell, though, came in her final response to a now-deleted original tweet. She revealed on May 11th that Kyle Beach himself has given Joel Quenneville his blessing to resume his coaching career.
There's no telling where this will go, but there's no question that Quenneville would be a highly-coveted candidate on the coaching market if he was to be reinstated as a head coach by the NHL.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Winnipeg Jets are all among the teams in search of a new bench boss. Quenneville suddenly becoming available would be a game-changer.
