The Toronto Maple Leafs have entered Day 3 of training camp, but not before providing injury updates on both Kyle Clifford and Ryan Tverberg.

On Friday, Leafs Nation received the news that veteran forward Kyle Clifford had left the day two on ice sessions very early. He had originally appeared to be favoring his foot. Unfortunately Clifford was unable to return to finish out the day and is now listed as out with an upper-body injury, which is quite surprising, given the fact that the earliest report had indicated a lower-body ailment.

Tverberg, on the other hand, was not cleared in time for the start of training camp after undergoing surgery earlier this year. Thankfully, the former 7th round draft pick was back in the lineup at camp today for the first time, skating on a line with Cedric Pare and Alex Steeves.

The Leafs had 2024 1st round pick Ben Danford skating on his own on Friday, which is a positive sign that he is on track to fully recover from the concussion he had suffered just over a week ago. As of now, there is no official timetable for his return. The Leafs will want to play this one a little extra cautious, given the nature of his injury.

The Maple Leafs are scheduled to take on the Ottawa Senators on Sunday to open their 2024-25 pre-season.
