Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann is eagerly anticipating the upcoming season, looking forward not only to a greater role on a thin left wing position, but also a fully healthy season for the first time in a few years.
According to a report from Nick Barden of The Hockey News, McMann has opened up about his health struggles from last year. Here's some of what he had to say on the subject.
Despite facing health challenges, Bobby McMann had an impressive first season with the Maple Leafs, scoring 15 goals and recording 24 points in 56 games during 2023-24.
He has been seen skating on a line featuring veteran John Tavares and newly re-signed Nick Robertson during training camp -- a line that has the potential to be very underrated. McMann aims to be the physical presence for his group, not unlike the role that Matthew Knies will play on the top line.
McMann has a significant opportunity before him this season. If the 28 year old can stay healthy, he could potentially score 20-25 goals in a more prominent role than the one he was featured in last season.
