Earlier this week we heard that there's a possibility that the Toronto Maple Leafs might move on from goalie Frederik Andersen. Andersen is aging and will be UFA after the 2020-21 season. His performance has been up and down during his time with the Leafs however that all can't be put on Andersen. The team has provided him with some absolutely brutal defense over the years which hasn't put him in the best position. With the Leafs' salary cap problems on the horizon it might be the main reason they move on from Andersen. Who could replace him?Jonas Siegal of The Athletic believes that Matt Murray might be that replacement. Murray isn't going to get the big payday he was hoping for after winning the Stanley Cup and might be pushed out of town by Tristan Jarry. Both goalies will be UFA for the Penguins and they also have Casey DeSmith pushing for NHL action. "Murray has the Stanley Cup pedigree we're talking about, helping the Penguins to two Cups. He'll only turn 26 in May — almost three years younger than Lehner. And get this: He played for Dubas and Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe with the Greyhounds."
