Max Domi drops an amazing quote about this Leafs team following a huge win in Vegas
When the Leafs rolled into Las Vegas last night, riding a 5-game winning streak I might add, there was a seed of doubt planted in the minds of some that the Leafs would be able to extend their streak to 6 games against one of the toughest teams in the West, the Vegas Golden Knights. Well, after hanging 9 goals on the Anaheim Ducks last week, the Leafs went out and scored a touchdown against Vegas en route to a 7-3 victory.
A 2-goal performance from Max Domi and at least a point from 13 different Leafs last night were a huge reason why they left Las Vegas with the two points. That's not easy to do. It begs the question; is this Leafs team built different? It's certainly beginning to feel that way.
Following the win, an elated Domi was happy to speak with the media to discuss the current state of the team. He also provided us with one hell of a quote.
I'm not going to lie - the thought of seeing the Toronto Maple Leafs square off against the Vegas Golden Knights, the Colorado Avalanche or perhaps even the Edmonton Oilers in a 7-game series for the Stanley Cup definitely gets my blood pumping. There's a lot of road left to get through this season and an even rockier road to get through in April and May before we get to the promised land, but with how Domi dropped the mic following last night's win over Vegas, it certainly gave me those big "what if" vibes. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
