Max Domi goes above and beyond to make young Maple Leafs fans' day
Max Domi becoming a fan favourite in Toronto as he continues to showcase his tremendous character away from the ice.
Domi has made it known he loves playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. From the start, it was clear that Max had always wanted to dawn the blue and white, just like his father, another Maple Leaf fan favourite, Tie Domi.
Max took a team friendly contract this off-season, that pays the gritty forward $3.75M for the next 4 years, which has made his fans extremely happy. While on the subject of fans, he also made two young Leafs fans' entire weekends when he spent some time with them at the Marner Assist Foundation event.
One fan, like Domi, is battling Type-1 diabetes. Domi made sure to go the extra mile to pose for a photo with the young fan, showcasing the tool they use to help them monitor their blood sugar.
Domi has been vocal about his condition throughout his NHL career, and has been a huge advocate for those affected by diabetes.
The 2nd generation Leaf has always loved embracing the fans wherever he has played, but you can tell there is something extra special when Domi interacts with his hometown fans. He truly loves being a Leaf, and we love him even more for it.
