"Things have been going well for the Toronto Maple Leafs of late and it is hard to find things to be very upset about. But, it is only natural for sports fans to always look for something to complain about no matter who good the team is performing overall.

The biggest complaint for Leafs fans these days is Roman Polak and the fact that he has been playing over Connor Carrick.

Head coach Mike Babcock was asked why he has been relying on the older and slower Polak after Monday's morning skate and told us why he has earned the playing time.

«All we do is put the players in and if everything goes good and you keep playing good, you just keep playing,» said Babcock. «If not and you need a change, you put a guy in. If he does a good job, he's in. Polie is a big, heavy guy. He plays safe and the coach plays him. That is a big part of it, too. If you feel safe with a guy out on the ice and you're willing to play him, a guy is more likely to play.»

Would you rather see Connor Carrick play over Roman Polak?
