"Before Monday night's Leafs' win against the Anaheim Ducks, we saw quite the heart warming moment during warm ups. Marner spotted a young Leafs' fan who was holding a sign that said "Mitch I Beat Cancer". Right after Marner spotted the sign, he went to the bench, signed a stick and skated over to the youngster and gave him the signed stick. Marner was asked about the moment after the game. «We get to play in a place that fans love us, and this was a chance for us to embrace them as well. I saw that sign. It's pretty impressive seeing how many kids battle cancer and still come out and still be so happy every time they see us. For us, it's just about giving back to them and make sure they leave here with a smile on their face regardless of the score."
"It's a blessing playing here, and that's something I get to do every day.»
