It was revealed yesterday that the much spoken about possible all Canadian division for the 2020-21 season is a real possibility.Commissioner Gary Bettman said himself that it likely makes the most sense with the ongoing border issue and possibility of mini hubs across North America to minimize travel. The rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators has already been established, however there's never really a huge opportunity for big buildup with the Eastern teams playing the Western teams only twice per year. Leafs' forward Mitch Marner was asked about the idea recently. "It would definitely be interesting," Marner said. "We've got to be ready for whatever happens."It would definitely spark huge interest across the country with Marner and Auston Matthews facing off against Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Elias Pettersson and Patrik Laine more often."It would be a cool experience," Marner said. "We've just got to be ready for whatever happens."
