Mitch Marner Joined Some Pretty Elite Company Last Night.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs racked up a very important two points last night as they beat the Ottawa Senators. The win gives them a three point lead on both the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens for the time being. Even though the playoff push is massively exciting, the biggest topic for the main stream media right now is Mitch Marner's upcoming contract. The kid is proving that he deserves every penny of whatever contract he signs. Last night Marner hit the 45 assist mark for the second consecutive season. He becomes the first Leafs' player to do so since the legendary Mats Sundin and not so legendary Tomas Kaberle who both did it for three seasons in a row 2005-08.
