"Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman is off to an absolute great start to the 2018-19 season. Before tonight's game, Rielly had registered 10 points in the team's first four games, matching a record only two other NHL defenseman had reached before in NHL history. Tonight, Rielly got on the board again and not only did he take the NHL lead for scoring, but he also matched Bobby Orr's record for the best five game start by an NHL defenseman with 11 points. While there's been some knocks on the Leafs defenseman, there's absolutely nothing bad that can be said about Rielly.
Morgan Rielly matches Bobby Orr (1973) for the best five game start by a NHL defenceman in the modern era with 11 points. He's also now leading the league in scoring. — Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) October 12, 2018
