"Talk continues to build regarding the future of Patrick Marleau in Toronto. Last week we heard that the Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings had some talks regarding a possible trade. Pierre LeBrun added to that over the weekend by revealing that the Leafs and Arizona Coyotes have also had discussions regarding Marleau. LeBrun isn't the only one reporting about Marleau's future in Toronto. Sportsnet insider Nick Kypreos confirmed over the weekend that the relationship between the Maple Leafs and Marleau has come to an end. Kypreos reports that Marleau's family has moved back to San Jose and Marleau's camp has made it clear the forward would like to be moved somewhere close to his family. "Yeah it sounds like Marleau and the Leafs are set to part ways," stated Kypreos."The family is going to move back to San Jose and Patrick Marleau has made it clear to the Toronto Maple Leafs that he would like to get closer to his family once again which means moving to the West Coast Area"
He added there's three teams that are currently pushing to land his services. "Some of the teams that are in the mix I am told are Arizona, Colorado and the Los Angeles Kings." "
