The Toronto Maple Leafs are hosting their annual Leafs and Legends Charity Golf Classic on Monday, attracting many former and current players. Some snaps from the event were made available to fans on the Toronto Maple Leafs' Instagram story :
The proceeds from the event benefit the MLSE Foundation, which supports a variety of charitable causes.
Other Maple Leafs in attendance included Auston Matthews, Morgan Rielly, and William Nylander. Leafs legend Wendel Clark also participated, among others.
With the summer drawing to a close and the first preseason game scheduled for September 24th against the Ottawa Senators, this event was a meaningful way to end the offseason and prepare players for medicals and the first on ice sessions later this week.
Hopefully, the current Maple Leafs players took some advice from the legends, as they continue their quest for a Stanley Cup, their first since 1967.
