"All the chatter points to the Toronto Maple Leafs making at least one addition before the upcoming trade deadline. TSN's Darren Dreger made a bold statement recently when he mentioned the Leafs were targeting New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh.Considering he's signed through the 2018-19 season he could be a better pickup for the Leafs compared to some other names mentioned.Like Rangers forward Rick Nash, McDonagh holds a modified no trade clause, however NHL insider Pierre LeBrun issued a huge update regarding that list. LeBrun confirmed on Thursday that the Leafs aren't on McDonagh's 10 team no trade list. That means the Leafs and Rangers have a green light when it comes to making a deal and won't have to present it to McDonagh. If Toronto is serious about making the acquisition, it could be happening in the next couple of hours. Do you think McDonagh would be a home run addition to the Leafs blueline?
