The Toronto Maple Leafs are off to a tough start and many are calling for changes. It would please a certain portion of the fanbase to see Mitch Marner traded however that's not likely happening. However there's some rumblings we might see a trade. According to some reports floating around, Leafs' general manager Kyle Dubas has placed Travis Dermott on the trade block in hopes of shaking things up a bit. Dermott currently plays on the third pairing with Rasmus Sandin and has one assist in six games so far this season. The 24 year old has another year on his contract which carries a very affordable $1.5million cap hit before he becomes a restricted free agent with arbitration rights in the summer of 2023. Not sure what kind of a return the team would get for Dermott but it would likely be for some offensive help as the team would love to give Timothy Liljegren some more ice time.
