The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have been pretty quiet this offseason thanks to their salary cap limitations. Dubas has mostly added some depth pieces up front including Nick Ritchie, David Kampf, Ondrej Kase and Michael Bunting along with a physical presence in Kurtis Gabriel. However Dubas hasn't done anything to address the blueline and it seems he might be looking to make a major splash. According to Boston Bruins' insider Jimmy Murphy, the Leafs are trying to figure out a way to acquire PK Subban from the New Jersey Devils. This would require some form of salary retention from the Devils or some salary going the other way as the Leafs have zero cap space at the moment. Subban would give the Leafs some depth on the right side and would be a great addition to their struggling power play. Murphy adds that the Bruins have also been trying to figure out a way to get a deal done. Would you like to see Subban in a Leafs' uniform?
