"It was a long and stressful negotiation between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Mitch Marner. During the summer we heard plenty of speculation regarding the situation and even heard that Marner was negotiating offer sheets with some other teams. Marner's agent Darren Ferris confirmed on Monday morning that there was two teams that presented Marner with offer sheets however he wasn't interested in signing them. Matthew Barnaby followed up Ferris' revelation by reporting the two teams that presented the offer sheets to Marner. According to Barnaby, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild were the two teams that had contracts ready for Marner to sign, however Marner wasn't going to leave Toronto for either of those destinations. Can you see Marner wearing a Blue Jackets or Wild jersey?
From what I was told a while ago the 2 offer sheets to Marner were Minny and Columbus....Wanted to be a Leaf — Matthew Barnaby (@MattBarnaby3636) September 16, 2019
